Teresa Buchholz, Stampin' Up! Demonstrator

I fell in love with stamping with my first card and became a Stampin' Up Independent Demonstrator in February 2009. Creating fresh project ideas, cards, scrapbook pages and gifts is more that just stamps and ink, it is about sharing part of yourself with crafters you love.

Saving The Planet One Card at a Time!!

October 14, 2013 1 Comment

A few months ago, my fabulous stampin’ club made this card. Yes, it isn’t a good candidate for the mail but, it definitely is a flashy and with that big bow, could also be considered a decoration or embellishment. I designed this as a gift card that could be used on top of the gift as part of the decoration.

There is always someone that can’t make it to our club. I always save the cards for them to take home and make, but I must have gotten cut happy and cut a lot of extra paper for this card. Today after a whirl wind of stamping events this past weekend, I decided it was time to find the top of my desk and Big Shot table and I found some scraps from that card. So, I ended up stamping instead of cleaning up? My “self” said ‘ you are always stopping to stamp and you’ll never get this mess cleaned up’. I just refused to listen to “self” and said TOO BAD, I’m tiring to save the planet by recycling this paper!
Here is my recycled card! :o)

I used these SU Supplies to make this recycled card:
Black, Very Vanilla, and Real Red cardstock
Black Ink
Modern Medley Designer Paper
Label Love and a Round Array stamps sets
Artisan label Punch and 7/8″ Scallop Circle punch
I used the new Stylish Stripes embossing folder and just dropped my 1/4″ strips of paper into the groves.
Hope your week is inky!
