Teresa Buchholz, Stampin' Up! Demonstrator

I fell in love with stamping with my first card and became a Stampin' Up Independent Demonstrator in February 2009. Creating fresh project ideas, cards, scrapbook pages and gifts is more that just stamps and ink, it is about sharing part of yourself with crafters you love.

A Pink Rose for a Dreay Day!

August 27, 2011 Leave a Comment

It has been raining bucket fulls today, thanks to Tropical Storm Irene.  I hope she is about over herself!   Today was a good day to play in my stamp room.  I have a new product from the new Holiday Mini called Simply Scored.   I made a little pizza box using it and then of course I had to decorate it!

Here is a view from the top of the pizza box,

and from the side.  Sorry, you can't see the sparkle from the Pink Shimmer paint.  To make this I took a tube of Vanilla Shimmer Smooch Spritz

and added 2 drops of Pretty in pink refill.  I sprayed it on my whisper white rose and this is what I got!

To make the mini Pizza Box with Rose you will need :

Supplies:

  • Card Stocks:  Island Indigo, Whisper White pg 176-180
  • Punch:  #119847 Ornament Punch pg 210 $16.95; #104401 1 3/8" Circle Punch pg 212 $15.95
  • Accessories:  #118772 Vanilla Shimmer Smooch Spritz pg 203 $4.95;  #102l95 Pretty in Pink Ink refill $2.95; #122334 Simply Scored Scoring Tool pg 7 (new mini catalog) $29.95

Box

Step 1:

Begin with a piece of Indigo Island cardstock 6" x 11"

Step 2:

With 6" side along the top and left fence of the score tool, score 1" & 5"

Step 3:

With 11" along the top and left fence, score 1", 5",6" and 10".   Make cuts at the 1", 5", 6" and 10" to the inner 1" mark.  Fold box and adhere tabs.

Flower

Step 1:

Punch out all the Ornament Punches you may punch in 1 sheet of Whisper White cardstock.   Then curl them, by rolling them around a pen.

Step 2:

Glue 4 ornament petal pieces onto the 1 3/8" circle.  Working inwards to the center continue to add petals, as you get to the center, the petals

will need to be curled  tighter.

Step 3:

When done adding petals, crunch it by placing your hands around the base and squeezing the petals so they all curl together.   Spray with smooch spritz.

Have fun making these roses  and let me know if you have any questions,

Don't forget you can place an online order 24/7.
