Teresa Buchholz, Stampin' Up! Demonstrator

I fell in love with stamping with my first card and became a Stampin' Up Independent Demonstrator in February 2009. Creating fresh project ideas, cards, scrapbook pages and gifts is more that just stamps and ink, it is about sharing part of yourself with crafters you love.

A Great Guy Card!

June 26, 2012 Leave a Comment

I have been playing with my aqua painters again!  This time I used SU watercolor paper with the stamp set Countryside.  I love how the sky came out!  I used 3 different inks, bashful blue, marina mist and pretty in pink.   I just added the 3 colors randomly to the back ground, cleaned my aqua painter tip, and with a very wet brush I blended the colors together.  I did the grass the same way, using Wild Wasabi, Lucky Limeade, and Daffodil Delight.   The watercolor paper is so perfect for doing this sort of blending.  If you try it with regular card stock, the water you use to blend the colors will make your paper curl!

This is a great guy card!  I didn't put a greeting on it yet, that way I have a guy card ready and when I need it I can add a greeting.  If I needed a guy card and didn't have one on hand, I would be struggling with what to make and more than likely most of my studio would end up in the middle of my workspace. Trust me, not a pretty sight!

Happy Inking!
