Teresa Buchholz, Stampin' Up! Demonstrator

I fell in love with stamping with my first card and became a Stampin' Up Independent Demonstrator in February 2009. Creating fresh project ideas, cards, scrapbook pages and gifts is more that just stamps and ink, it is about sharing part of yourself with crafters you love.

Clean & Simple??? I think not!

June 20, 2011 7 Comments

This morning while I was having a cup of coffee and scooting around the stamping cyberspace I came across this challenge.

Okay Clean & Simple fans, this one's for you!

Paper piece a single image from a rubber stamp or digi image, and if you wish, a simple sentiment can complete the card.
I looked at the card and said, not for me, that's too hard.  I'm a can't do simple kind of girl.  No one had taken the challenge.   When I ate lunch, I decided to go and look at the cards that had been posted.     Still nobody was taken the clean and simple.   Now, I say, "Self, you can do this", and self said" nope, not gonna happen".   Well it did happen, but now as I look around my stamp studio and see all the stamps, that just wouldn't do, the paper that just wasn't the right color, and the tools that weren't allowed, I'm absolutely sure that this is not a clean & simple card.   For once I should have listened to my self.
A ton of stuff to put away for this simple card.
All I had to do was stamp an image on a piece of Designer Series Paper, cut it out piece it together and I should have been done in 10 minutes.   After hours, I finally have my card for the clean &  not so simple challenge.   Well, I needed to clean my stamping studio anyway, so I guess that is what they meant when they said clean.

I'm sure 'self' will be saying "I told you not to do it" real soon.

Happy Stamping!
Teresa
