Teresa Buchholz, Stampin' Up! Demonstrator

I fell in love with stamping with my first card and became a Stampin' Up Independent Demonstrator in February 2009. Creating fresh project ideas, cards, scrapbook pages and gifts is more that just stamps and ink, it is about sharing part of yourself with crafters you love.

Seriously? Has anyone seen Golf Cart #4?

August 26, 2014 1 Comment

Yesterday was the 4th annual Golf & Give Tournament benefitting the Ronald McDonald House of Durham. All proceeds from this tournament will go to Ronald McDonald House of Durham. This is my 3rd year volunteering for this event, it is always one of my favorite events. I am usually on a green in the afternoon watching to see if anyone gets a hole in one. This year, I just guessed I'd be doing the same thing. Well, I got a nice email asking if I had gotten the information on volunteering, which I responded to with, 'no, I didn't but, I am not busy on Monday & I'd love to help, just need to know detalis'. Well, the details arrived and my "self" said, "I should kick you! You know you should get the details before you agree to help!" Yes, my "self" was very correct. Turns out I, the not a morning person at all, have to be there at 6:15am. Seriously? I didn't even know you could set an alarm for that early! I got in the car, backed out of the garage and my self screamed, "it's dark outside"! All I could say was who knew?, and since it was too late to do anything about it, off I went. Turns out I was helping with breakfast for the golfers and volunteers. The torture began when I found my breakfast tables next to all the neat rows of golf carts. At 9am all those carts ripped out to play golf and then it happened…..2 little carts left, seems like I am not the only one that doesn't do mornings! Talk about a great score……. I am sure this beat all the golfers by a mile!IMG_0705

It was all fun and games until the missing golfers arrived late.   Even "self" was having a great time zipping around in the golf cart and she was sad to see them arrive!

There’s a 6:15 in the *morning* now? Ugh! You are sooo nice to do all you do for Ronald McDonald House! I hope they appreciate you.

P.S. Swing by my house with that thing. I want a golf cart ride! 🙂 We’ll tear up the town!
