Teresa Buchholz, Stampin' Up! Demonstrator

I fell in love with stamping with my first card and became a Stampin' Up Independent Demonstrator in February 2009. Creating fresh project ideas, cards, scrapbook pages and gifts is more that just stamps and ink, it is about sharing part of yourself with crafters you love.

Signs You Are In Love With The Beach

April 2, 2018 2 Comments

If you sit and think about going to the beach, if you are constantly behind with you work, if you go to the beach more than once a week, if you have worn out more than 2 beach chairs in a year and a half, you are in love with the beach.  If you would rather go to than beach than stamp you are in love.  If when you are stampin’ you always want to stamp beachy things even for holidays you have definitley in love.  My card today reflects my love for the beach and shimmery things!

It also features a technique that I had forgotten about until a couple of days ago.  I created my beach buy using double-sided 5″ wide tape.  I added it to a piece of Whisper White card stock 4″ x 5″.  Next I tore randomly across the 4″ side and peeled the tape and poured my sand over it and pressed it into tape then thump the back side of cardstock to remove any extra sand.  The sand is by Mudd Puddles and the Name is Summer Beach.  I got this in a class I took recently. Once I saw the flecks of gold and copper in it, I had to have it.  The shell are real and some of my rewards of my many hours I spend on the beach and not doing what I am supposed to do!   The chair is from Stampin’ Up  #143751 Seasonal Layers thinlits dies.  The Soft Sky card stock was sponged with Pool Party in and there clouds are with my new favorite product #145645 Shimmery White Embossing Paste.  The palm leaves are made from my favorite green  paper Cucumber Crush and Soft Suede.  Of course the flamingo was cut out using the soon to retire Flirty Flamingo!  The tree and flamingo die cuts were a pair that I also bought at the class I took!    Seas the Day!

Yes, it is so! Most time I am collecting shells, sometimes I take my pencils and color things to post on my blog.
