It has been 22 months and after many, many interviews I have finally picked a new Art Director for my blog! I would like to introduce you to Izabella, she likes to be called Izy. Unfortunately, she showed up for work before 7 am. I tried to explain I was not a morning person, I need my coffee before I start work. Here are a few pictures of her waiting patiently for me to finish my coffee,
Now it is time to go to work! hmm?
As we started work, she dumped my card and all the supplies I had used onto the floor. Apparently, she likes a clean desk. While, I was using Lightroom to edit my card she sat on my keyboard and changed the picture to black and white, and locked up my computer. That took almost an hour to correct. During the repairs and editing, she decided to help me by cleaning the other side of my desk and playing with my copics.I think she is going to need a lot of training. I am hoping things will smooth out soon. Here is the card for today using the Sea of Textures Bundle.
The card base is the new Seafoam Green, next layer is Champage foil and the stamped paper is also Seafoam. I used a little sand at the bottom applied to double sided sticky tape. I used the champagne foil and embossed the octopus with black embossing powder. I had been to Tarpon Springs Sponge Docks over the weekend and I saw all different colored nets on the boats. That was my inspiration for the colored and folded nets.
Congratulations on your new Art Director. I guess Larry is ready to retire and take it easy for a while. Play cards with the other retirees in central FL. 🙂 Izy has the most beautiful eyes! Sounds like you are going to have to learn to comply by *her* rules now. 😉
Love the octopus card and the neat coral die cuts! It’s inspired! 🙂
Anxiously awaiting June 1 so I can order from the new catalog!!!
I do hope we can work out the start time! 9 am is good, no need to get up at 6:30am. Really, that time of day requires 2 cups of coffee for me!
