Teresa Buchholz, Stampin' Up! Demonstrator

I fell in love with stamping with my first card and became a Stampin' Up Independent Demonstrator in February 2009. Creating fresh project ideas, cards, scrapbook pages and gifts is more that just stamps and ink, it is about sharing part of yourself with crafters you love.

Ever Wonder What to do with that?

June 18, 2013 1 Comment

Have you ever wondered what to do with all of the retired stuff that you still have when the new annual catalog comes out. Well, I had enough retired card stock to do something really cool, I just wasn’t sure what. My “self” said ‘I bet it just sits on the shelf and when you get tired of moving from place to place, you’ll toss it out’. Well, I sat out to prove ” self” wrong and find something to do with that pile of card stock. Next thing you know, I am all out of retired paper and I even had a class with my Fabulous Secret Garden book. I dyed white seam binding with SU Reinkers to match all the pages.

As “self” tells you regularly, I am a Stampin’ Up snob, I only buy SU products, but every once in a while, those people over at Graphic 45 just steal my heart, with their bright 8 x8 paper pads. I made this book with mostly retired SU products and was able to work in a few of the new 2013-14 in
colors as well.
I the Crisp Cantaloupe page using the retired Manhattan Embossing Folder and the Key trinkets.
I will miss some of these colors, but I will not weep for them, because I still have Pool Party and now I have Strawberry Slush, along with the other 4 new in colors. I think this years in colors are the best yet!

I have to see this one in person…the pics don't get big enough for me to see all those fantastic details. Love the pic of all those prettily dyed seam binding piles, though! 🙂
