Teresa Buchholz, Stampin' Up! Demonstrator

I fell in love with stamping with my first card and became a Stampin' Up Independent Demonstrator in February 2009. Creating fresh project ideas, cards, scrapbook pages and gifts is more that just stamps and ink, it is about sharing part of yourself with crafters you love.

Flashback Friday Butterfly Screen Card

May 23, 2014 2 Comments

I am pretty sure that I can hear you saying "what is that?"   A screen card is so easy to make, and I am not sure I would of tried it if one of my friends hadn't ask me to help her make one.  Here it is!IMG_3317
The first year I started stamping, SU had this paper called Mulberry, it was white, hard to cut, but lovely when colored with aqua painters.  I was cleaning up, and found a few sheets of it and decided to try to use it since I'd had it for 5 years .  Here is what I used in addition to the Mulberry paper and retired punches.   This is definately not a one stamp set wonder card, but it uses lots of goodies that are retired and even some scraps of paper (small butterflies).

What a cool idea! I love the idea of using the fancy tag punch to create “feet” for the screen. Any Japaneseish design would be beautiful with this design. I think I might have some of that mulberry paper stashed away that I didn’t know what to do with, either. If not, I bet this would be pretty with one of the new gold vellum prints as the base. It wouldn’t even need stamping, just the pop out designs. Hmm…I think I’ve got to give this a try soon. Thanks for sharing!
