Teresa Buchholz, Stampin' Up! Demonstrator

I fell in love with stamping with my first card and became a Stampin' Up Independent Demonstrator in February 2009. Creating fresh project ideas, cards, scrapbook pages and gifts is more that just stamps and ink, it is about sharing part of yourself with crafters you love.

Fussy Cutting a Secret Garden

January 2, 2013 Leave a Comment

I never met a tiny pair of fussy cutting scissors, that I didn’t just love! I have 1, yes, just one friend who likes to fussy cut as much as I do,and she was actually the one who taught me about fussy cutting. She will love this card and I bet she is the first one(maybe the only one) to leave a fussy cutting hooray comment! I do have more than one friend, but they hate fussy cutting.

Now, this stamp set Secret Garden is in the Spring Catalog, you can buy it by itself or a a bundle with matching Framelits. I do own the bundle. It is at home, I am not. If you have been following my blog, you know I do not have my beloved “Biggie” or any punches with me, just a few stamps, a big box of bling, another small box of card stock and the new designer series paper packs. Technically, this might be like camping, but I wouldn’t know because if it ain’t the Marriott, I’m not camping. With this being said, ” I fussy cut this entire card”.
To make this card you will need:
A pair of fussy cutting scissors
Gumball Green, Summer Starfruit, Calypso Coral, and Daffodil Delight Inks
Gumball Green, Whisper White and Summer Starfruit card stock
Tea for Two designer series paper, cut one piece 4″ x 5.25″ and another piece with hexagons 3″ x 4″ trim the edgiest to flow with the hexagons. This is the piece that has the ribbons on it.
Summer Starfruit, and Victoria Ribbons
Stamp the Whisper white Daisy with Illuminate Pigment Ink (still available, pg 36 of the Spring catalog) before you cut it out. After it is cut out I used my aqua pen to color the center with Daffodil
Ink. I also shaded the Calypso Coral Flower with matching ink and aqua brush.
Accessories were Dazzling Details Clear, Rhinestones and Large Pearls.
I used my brand new Stampin’ Up Texture Boutique and the SAB Vine Street Textured Embossing Folder for the base card!
Happy fussy cutting!
