It has been weeks since I posted! I blame Irma but not entirely but mostly! By the time she arrived here she was reduced to a hurricane 2. That was great, but with my parents here in assisted living less than 0.2 miles from me, we could not leave. We were blessed to be one of the few condos in the neighborhood that had complete power. I know that some of you wonder what I mean by complete power. Some condos in our building had power in part of the condo but no air conditioning. Other condos had nothing at all. The assisted living where my parents were did have some power but not every room had power and worst of all people from the Bay Pines were evacuated here. As soon as the storm started, something happened and the elevators did not work. Once the Bay Pines evacuees were cleared to return to their assisted living a group of friends from an employee came and literally carried those people down the stairs. Can I just say that these people were AWESOME! I do not know too many people who would volunteer for this duty. I want to thank Amber and her boyfriend (soon to be husband in a few days) for really going above and beyound the call of duty. I am sorry I missed the last card post due on the 9/11 but I am here and posting now after a rough 2 weeks of recover and volunteer work over at Beckett Lake Brookdale Assisted Living. Sometimes you just have to go with what is most important. I hope my card this week makes up for missing a couple of weeks! Here is my card for Challenge #341. For details about challenge visit Try Stampin' on Tuesday!
Here are the supplies I used, some may be retired, but this is the best I could do!
I hope you like the card and will join us over at Try Stampin’ on Tuesday!
Glad you are ok! Love the card. You do make me laugh though when you apologize for beautiful cards.
