I started stamping in 2009, seems like a long time ago. I love the beach and my friend Cindy (she loves it more than me) told me she had a lot of beach stamps. I asked to borrow them and she brought them over this past weekend. Oh my goodness, I could not believe what I saw, a SU set from 2006 and 2004 that I had never seen. Today, I finally had time to play with them, I choose the 2006 set called It’s a Shore Thing and made this card.
I used all new SU colors on this card with an Aqua Painter and stamps.
Card base is Costal Cabana, images were stamped on Shimmery White card stock.
The sea is stamped and aqua painted with Coastal Cabana ink
The beach is a light wash of Baked Brown Sugar
The sky was sponged with Costal Cabana
Chair, beach and birds were also stamped with Baked Brown Sugar
Sun was stamped with the newly returned Crushed Curry
Final touches include a Calypso Coral starfish and a Coastal Cabana Life’s a Beach saying
Sea ya tomorrow!

I'm so impressed that you managed to do so much with a single-layer card! That set is new to me, too. Love the row of sandpipers. Hope you're having as much fun at the beach as this picture makes it look! 🙂
