Teresa Buchholz, Stampin' Up! Demonstrator

I fell in love with stamping with my first card and became a Stampin' Up Independent Demonstrator in February 2009. Creating fresh project ideas, cards, scrapbook pages and gifts is more that just stamps and ink, it is about sharing part of yourself with crafters you love.

Not a Pool Party or More Mustard Post

December 14, 2011 1 Comment

I have been struggling with my addiction to the SU colors Pool Party and More Mustard.   It's hard to believe, that I like that combo so much, and I am going to be one sad little stamper when Spice Cake Designer Series Paper is no longer available.  Don't forget that when the new Mini Occassion Catalog premieres on Jan. 4, 2012, Spice Cake paper will be tossed to the side and you won't be able to order it anymore.  I've seen the new catalog, it has beautiful designer series papers, but it just won't be my Spice Cake.

Anyway, here's a card I made for a challenge over at 365 using three of the colors in one of the new designer series papers in the new catalog.  The Challenge was to "Triple It", which meant I needed to use 3 triangles( pennant banner),  3 circles (cherries), and 3 squares( cupcake bottoms).  It seemed like a lot of rules to me, everybody knows I have a hard time getting those rules under control, but I think I managed to pull this one off without a hint of Pool Party or More Mustard.  What do you think?

For those of you wondering about the paper used on the banner and cupcake bottom, it isn't in the new Mini,  but, you can find it  on page 186 of the SU catalog and it is called Big Top Birthday!

Happy Fabulous Stamping!
