Teresa Buchholz, Stampin' Up! Demonstrator

I fell in love with stamping with my first card and became a Stampin' Up Independent Demonstrator in February 2009. Creating fresh project ideas, cards, scrapbook pages and gifts is more that just stamps and ink, it is about sharing part of yourself with crafters you love.

People Like You!

February 3, 2014 Leave a Comment

When I first saw this stamp set People Like You, I wasn’t sure what to do with it, so of course I didn’t order this stamp. First club order I placed, two members ordered this stamp and when it arrived one of the stamp cases had busted into several pieces, probably due to the icy cold weather. Stampin’ Up immediately sent out a new case for this stamp, but in the mean time there it sat on my desk, just staring at me. Then it pleaded with me to use it, I put some card stock on top of it, but still it was taunting me. Finally, I sent the owner an email, explaining how it was taunting me, and she said, ” don’t let that stamp taunt you, pound it into an ink pad and show it who is boss!” Since she was in California and could not come rescue me from that silly stamp, I did just that!
After a few (maybe more), really good smacks into an ink pad I showed it who was boss! Here are my cards!

20140203-103400.jpgfor someone who didn’t have a clue what to do with this stamp I think I did pretty good.
The first card uses the Silver Fancy Foil Designer Vellum, Silver Foil sheets, Bermuda Bay card stock and Pewter embossing powder!
Of course fussy cutting was involved! :o). The second card uses, Black, Very Vanilla card stock, Gold Foil sheets, and Gold embossing powder. Of course, besides the fussy cutting there are a few pearls added to both cards.
Happy Stampin!
