Teresa Buchholz, Stampin' Up! Demonstrator

I fell in love with stamping with my first card and became a Stampin' Up Independent Demonstrator in February 2009. Creating fresh project ideas, cards, scrapbook pages and gifts is more that just stamps and ink, it is about sharing part of yourself with crafters you love.

Seize The Cake!!

Sometimes you just want cake!  Here is my cake card for today!

I will not say this was an easy card to make. It was very frustrating until I figured out the best way to make the cake layers. At first, I just cut them out and tried to stamp the pieces. Wrong choice, finally I figured out that it was easier to stamp the fillings across a piece of scrap So Saffron card stock and then cut each one out individually. It would probably been as easy to stamp the cut out pieces using a stamp-a-ma-jig but you all know I am not that kinda stamper. The one thing I did find super easy was using the foam adhesive strips to put the cake together. Wow, go those things make your life easy!
Here are all the supplies I used to make this card.

If you don’t own those foam adhesive strips, you just might want to ask yourself “Why?”
