Teresa Buchholz, Stampin' Up! Demonstrator

I fell in love with stamping with my first card and became a Stampin' Up Independent Demonstrator in February 2009. Creating fresh project ideas, cards, scrapbook pages and gifts is more that just stamps and ink, it is about sharing part of yourself with crafters you love.

The Spinner Card That Couldn’t!

July 20, 2016 Leave a Comment

Everyone is talking about how easy it is to make those spinner cards.  Why is it that I am the only one who had problems?
I put it together, just like Stampin' Up said, but it would not spin!  There was a list of  things, that I did wrong…..let's talk about that!  Here is my card!'IMG_7087I was making this card for a friend who is also a demonstrator so it needed to be flawless!  It was not!  My first mistake was punching out the stars and then gluing Glimmer paper to the designer series paper.   It was hard to get it to stick to the Glimmer paper.  Then I cut out the slide…..yes it wouldn't spin because all of the edges around the stars were not glued down.   So with my handy glue, I set out to right this wrong.  Well, now it had a sticky spot where it was getting stuck.   That was easy, I got some baby powder and rubbed it with my finger over the sticky place!   Finally, a spinner card that could spin!  I hope my mistakes make your spinner card making a bit easier!  The saying is a favorite of my friend but there isn't a stamp set with that saying.  I used my printer and printed it on Whisper White then stamped the banner around it and cut it out.

Here are the supplies I used to make this card.
