Teresa Buchholz, Stampin' Up! Demonstrator

I fell in love with stamping with my first card and became a Stampin' Up Independent Demonstrator in February 2009. Creating fresh project ideas, cards, scrapbook pages and gifts is more that just stamps and ink, it is about sharing part of yourself with crafters you love.

We All Have Them! So Let’s Use Them!

January 5, 2015 Leave a Comment

Hello Stampers!

I wanted to make a Valentine today!  Seems like I always forget to order something and this time it was paper for Valentines.  Lucky for me I ordered Real Red cardstock twice! I even ordered the new heart punch……so what's a stamper to do?    I decided to use what I had and make my own designer series paper.  How?   We all have stamps, so I looked to see which stamps had hearts, and pulled out the small heart stamps, grabbed a 4 1/4" x 2" strip of Whisper White, a sponge, Pink Pirouette, Rose Red and Real Red ink pads and got to work.   Here is the final result!IMG_4508I sponged the Whisper White strip with Pink Pirouette.   Next using Goregous Grunge, I stamped the small dots all over with the piece and then I picked a really small heart to stamp with Real Red.  Love this Grunge look!   Next, I cut a strip of Pink Pirouette paper to border the strip I had just made, well that didn't work out so you don't need that measurement.  When I tried to use the heart border punch the top row was perfect but the bottom row was upside down. crying   So, I cut it in 1/2 turned it over so the hearts were going the correct way and just stuck it on above and below the white.  Then using tthe Adorning Accents Embossing folder (I believe it is retired) I added the heart texture to the bottom.  Next I used the single heart punch with some Dazzling Details Glimmer Paper.  Then as I was going thru my framelits, I noticed that the new Mini Treat Bag Thinlits has a heart just perfect for layering under the heart punch….Red glimmer paper and the rest just came together!

Here is a list of what I used:

Yes, if I'd only remembered to order the You Plus Me Bundle it would have been so easy!
