Teresa Buchholz, Stampin' Up! Demonstrator

I fell in love with stamping with my first card and became a Stampin' Up Independent Demonstrator in February 2009. Creating fresh project ideas, cards, scrapbook pages and gifts is more that just stamps and ink, it is about sharing part of yourself with crafters you love.

You’re Amazing!

January 7, 2013 Leave a Comment

Would you believe that this is a hybrid card? If you aren’t familiar with this kind of card, it is a card that is made with My Digital Studio and real stamps. As usual, I took this 1 step further and I have finally figured out how to use my digital studio with my Silhouette Cameo! Oh yeah, FABULOUS! I thought that since I had never used this Stamp set ( not telling how long I have had it, so don’t ask) You’re Amazing this would be as good a time as any. This was one of the few stamp sets I brought with me!

One of the things, I wanted to do while I was here, was learn how to use my Cameo with MDS. So, one of the bags, I drug all the way down here had my Cameo in it! I thought, if I didn’t bring “Biggie” or my punches, I would surely get so frustrated that I would finally figure out how to merge the two and be able to have everything I want with me at one time….the only catch is that I didn’t have a printer. MDS2 allows you to color the image, you can then print it, on your printer from the Cameo and then “Camy” will cut it out for you! Or you can put in colored paper and print the image. That is what I did.

Remember this is a first for me, so be kind even if I am starting out real slow. Here is how I made this card:
I used “Camy” to cut out the red hearts from My Digital Studio, and trimmed them to fit the ballon baskets. If you had a heart punch that would work too.
Then I embossed them with my Texture Boutique and Lacy Brocade(#127819 still available) embossing folder from the Holiday Catalog.
I stamped 2 balloon baskets(fussy cut them out) and the saying “You’re Amazing”. I only inked the letters with a small dauber to get just the words.
Using yet another dauber, I stamped the ‘be mine’ from the Oh, Whale! Stamp set, again only inking “the be mine?” with the dauber.
I also used my Textured Boutique along with Adorning Accents and Cloudy Day Embossing Folders.
Card stock used was Whisper White and Real Red.
Inks used were Real Real and Midnight Muse.

You’re Amazing!
